About the Author
Emma Chichester Clark is a British author and illustrator. She is best known for her children's books, which have been translated into over 30 languages.
Clark was born in London, England, in 1955. She studied art at the Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art.
Clark began her career as a children's book illustrator. Her first book, The Baby's Catalogue, was published in 1983.
In 1991, Clark wrote and illustrated her first picture book, I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato. The book was a huge success, and it won the Smarties Book Prize.
Clark has since written and illustrated many other children's books, including Plumdog, The Princess and the Pea, and The Gruffalo's Child.
