Author Biography
Tom Feelings was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1933. He began his career as an illustrator in the 1960s, and quickly became known for his powerful and evocative artwork. His work has been featured in numerous books, magazines, and exhibitions.
Feelings was a recipient of the Newbery Medal, the Coretta Scott King Award, and the Boston Globe–Horn Book Award. He died in 2003.
